Neil Crispin Aldridge is an innovative passionate New Zealand-based music producer, sound artist, sound designer, recording and mix engineer.  He spent 15 years in the music industry in London, followed by 10 years in the film industry in Wellington, New Zealand, and is currently a Senior Lecturer in sound at Massey University where he’s been for the last 10 years.

An Ogre represents the more commercial side of his output, falling somewhere between eccentric electronica and dink-a-dink music.

His sound art creates intricate, intimate soundscapes that confuse distinctions between composition and sound design.

He has one double-platinum, one platinum, and three gold discs, was a member of the Oscar-winning sound team for The Hobbit trilogy, and has exhibited as an artist nationally and internationally in the UK, USA, Austria, Italy, France, Australia, and New Zealand.

He holds a Master of Creative Enterprise.
